The GolfBase is a privately owned holiday apartment in Formentera del Segura, Alicante, Spain. This website is operated by the owner of the apartment. If you have any question about this policy or about the information we hold, please contact us through the contact page.
What we collect, and why
When you send an enquiry
Our contact form asks for your name, email address, an optional telephone number, and your message. We use these solely to reply to you. The message is emailed to us and is not published anywhere on the site.
When you request a booking
To request dates you provide your name, email address, telephone number, the dates you would like, and the number of guests. We use this to check availability, confirm or decline your request, and to manage your stay if you book. Booking requests are stored in this website’s database so that we have a record of your reservation.
Information collected automatically
Like almost all websites, our web server keeps access logs which record your IP address, the pages you requested, the time, and your browser type. These are used to keep the site running, to diagnose faults and to detect abuse. Our website is protected by Cloudflare, which also processes your IP address for security and performance purposes.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not profile visitors. WordPress and Cloudflare may set essential cookies needed for the site to function and to protect it from abuse. If you log in to the site as an administrator, WordPress sets cookies to keep you signed in.
Who your information is shared with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for marketing. Your details are handled by the companies that make this website work: our hosting provider, which stores the website and its database and delivers our email; and Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site to protect and speed it up. Both act on our instructions.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch. Booking records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting and tax purposes. Server logs are kept for a short period and then deleted automatically.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You can also object to how we are using it. Just get in touch through the contact page and we will deal with your request. If you are not happy with our response you have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date at the top.
